Punti di vista

Il punto di vista di un fotografo, contrariamente a quanto si possa pensare, non è il suo modo di esprimere un concetto, né tantomeno è il punto fisico da cui effettua lo scatto fotografico. No! Il punto di vista è il suo modo di leggere la scena che gli si pone innanzi e individuare in essa la parte che più gli è emotivamente vicina in quel momento. È un modo per emozionarsi, a volte l'unico per esorcizzare una realtà diversa, il modo per esprimere l'immagine visionaria del suo inconscio. Forse è questo che ci fa capire ciò che intendeva Henri Cartier Bresson quando diceva che "un buon fotografo deve cercare di mettere sulla stessa linea di mira il cuore, la mente e l’occhio". / Contrary to what one might think, a photographer’s point of view is not their way of expressing a concept, nor is it merely the physical spot from which they take the shot. No! The point of view is their way of reading the scene unfolding before them and identifying within it the part that is emotionally closest to them in that moment. It is a way to feel emotion—sometimes the only way to exorcise a different reality, a means of expressing the visionary imagery of the subconscious. Perhaps this is what helps us understand what Henri Cartier-Bresson meant when he said that "to photograph is to put on the same line of sight the head, the eye, and the heart.”
